KUWTK: Kanye West Gifts Kim Kardashian Hologram Of Her Dad For 40th B-Day
Kim Kardashian has been getting showered with love (and criticism) amid her 40th birthday celebrations. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star became a trending topic this week after she received backlash for her lavish birthday getaway. But, leave it to Kanye West to cheer up his wife with his extremely thoughtful and unique birthday gift.
The KKW Beauty founder came under fire this week after she shared photos from a private island getaway she surprised her family and close friends with for her birthday. Kim and a small group of loved ones joined the reality star and her famous family for five days of luxury and pampering in French Polynesia. When posting about the trip on social media, Kim acknowledged her "privilege" to be able to celebrate her birthday in such an extravagant way during an international health pandemic. Though she assured her followers that safety precautions were taken to ensure everyone's health, many accused the SKIMS founder of flaunting her wealth while many others suffer from an economic recession.
However, despite all the heat coming her way, her fashion mogul husband found a touching way to lift her spirits. On Wednesday, the mother of four took to Instagram to share a hologram video of her late father that Kanye gifted for her birthday. "Hologram from Heaven," she said in the video's caption. "For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad." The video displayed Kim's father, Robert Kardashian Sr. standing in the sky sending his daughter a special message for her birthday. In the hologram message, Kim's father tells her how beautiful she is and how lucky she is to have a "genius" husband like Kanye West.
The reality star shared how "lifelike" the hologram video was. "We watched it over and over filled with lots so tears and emotion," she shared. "I can’t even describe what this meant to me and my sisters, my brother, my mom and closest friends to experience together." She ended the caption by thanking her husband for the special memory that "will last a lifetime."
The hologram comes after her remote island vacation in Tahiti that she and her group took a jumbo private jet to get to. The special attendees reportedly enjoyed multiple dinners, hiking, spa treatments, and an escape to "pretend things were normal" according to the beauty and shapewear mogul.
