Pitney Bowes: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Pitney Bowes Inc. (PBI) on Friday reported third-quarter net income of $11.4 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Stamford, Connecticut-based company said it had net income of 7 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 8 cents per share.

The mailing equipment and software company posted revenue of $891.9 million in the period.

Pitney Bowes shares have climbed 84% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index has climbed 2.5%. The stock has risen 38% in the last 12 months.
