Katie Price’s boyfriend Carl Woods insists he isn’t possessive as troll points out ‘red flags’ on Instagram post
KATIE Price’s boyfriend Carl Woods has insisted that he isn’t possessive after a follower spotted “red flags” hinting that he “treats her like property”.
The 31-year-old hunk was quick to defend himself after he was accused in the comments of a recent Instagram photo.
In the picture, taken during his and 42-year-old Katie’s lavish Maldives break, Carl is carrying the star as she grins and pumps one fist into the air.
He’d captioned the holiday snap: “Nobody knows @katieprice like I do because nobody knows MY version of Kate, MY Kate is a new Kate like no other Kate before.
“MY Kate is special, MY Kate is absolutely phenomenal. MY Kate is MINE.”
One follower commented: “Possessive much”, adding a red flag emoji.
Carl hit back: “Lol there’s always one. Calling her MY Kate is a term of endearment.
“I’m basically saying that the version of @katieprice that I’m getting is different from what people are used to seeing of her. Therefore calling it MY version. Not referring to her as property.”
Earlier this month, Katie and Carl found themselves in a furious row with her fans after they questioned the mother-of-five for praising how “controlling” her new boyfriend is.
She’d written on Instagram: “I love how my @carljwoods is amazingly loving affectionate everywhere we go, how protective, controlling, understanding, loyal, so kind, so generous he is! NOBODY HAS EVER MADE ME FEEL LIKE THIS!”
One confused fan commented: “Controlling? Is that a good quality?”
Another agreed: “Controlling definitely isn’t right in a relationship.”
But Katie hit back at the negativity, insisting that she was using the right word as she wrote: “Controlling controlling controlling yes totally in control just like I’m controlling so we make a perfect combination together and we wouldn’t have it any other way ! ”

Carl also added: “Relax control police…. Most women like a man to take control, that’s what she means. So DON’T panic.”
The lovebirds have only been dating for a few months but have enjoyed a whirlwind romance, with Katie in a rush to marry Carl so that her terminally ill mum can be at their wedding.
He previously sparked engagement rumours by referring to her mum as his “mother-in-law” on social media, and the pair even have matching tattoos of each other’s faces on their forearms.
Friends have also said that they wouldn’t be surprised if Katie returns from this holiday pregnant with her sixth child, with the star already mum to 18-year-old Harvey, 15-year-old Junior, 13-year-old Princess, seven-year-old Jett, and six-year-old Bunny.
