Horses are said to be ‘flighty’ galloping from one interest to the next, but being headstrong, they like to complete a project before moving on.
Legend has it that the emperor was hosting a party and claimed that whoever arrived first would hold a spot in the Chinese zodiac.
The horse, along side the goat, are referred to as ‘kind and modest’, each letting the other go first, with the emperor ranking them seventh and eighth.
