Australian-made vaccine milestone in doubt
Serious questions have been raised about the CSL AstraZeneca manufacturing plant's capability to make 50 million vaccines by the end of the year.
Acting Chief Medical Officer Professor Michael Kidd was unable to specify how many doses are currently being produced each week and cast doubt on the target of producing one million vaccines a week.
A spokesperson for CSL was also unable to confirm how many doses are made on a weekly basis and told Sky News they hoped to reach the target soon.
