D’Angelo Russell Will Play Monday vs. Kings
Russell has missed the Timberwolves’ previous 26 games due to a knee injury, but he will return to action Monday vs. the Kings. He will likely return to the starting lineup but expect him to be on a minute restriction in his first game back.
His return should result in slightly fewer minutes for Jordan McLaughlin, who racked up 39.7 FanDuel points over 41.7 minutes in his last game. That said, Ricky Rubio and Malik Beasley are both doubtful vs. the Kings, so don’t expect McLaughlin to disappear completely. Josh Okogie, Jake Layman, and Jarrett Culver are also candidates to see fewer minutes.
The Timberwolves should be able to find plenty of offensive success vs. the Kings. They rank dead-last in defensive efficiency, and the Timberwolves’ implied team total of 116.25 points represents a significant increase from their season average of 109.1.
The Timberwolves are currently listed as 3.5-point home underdogs vs. the Kings on FanDuel Sportsbook.
