Grizzlies vs. Heat Preview
The Miami Heat host the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night as a five-point favorite with a total currently sitting at 217 on FanDuel. While both teams play in opposite conferences, this game should still have plenty of intrigues as Miami is looking for their fifth consecutive victory. The last time both teams met, it was Memphis who got the win and, in turn, snapped Miami’s five-game winning streak with a layup with just one second left in the game.
Before Miami’s current win streak, they actually lost six consecutive games, and then before that, they won five straight. In fact, the Heat have been a very streaky team throughout this season. The obvious problem, of course, is that it’s not easy to know when the streak is going to come to an end.
The Grizzlies will likely put forth a good effort again on Tuesday, given that they’ve been competitive with eight-point spread covers in their last nine games. Just recently, on Sunday, the Grizzlies went into Philadelphia defeated them by double-digits 116-100. Memphis will definitely have Miami’s attention for this game, especially after that last-second victory their last time out.
The sportsbooks only ask you to lay five points with the Heat, even with Victor Oladipo joining the team. That number seems a bit short here as Miami is well worth a look in this revenge spot.
