[Women's Volleyball] Amber Tomlin named CCAC Setter of the Week
CHICAGO --- Indiana University South Bend's Hannah Marchand (Sturgis, Mich.) and Olivet Nazarene University's Kaitlyn McMahan (Grant Park, Ill.) each collected their third Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week awards, while St. Ambrose University's Amber Tomlin (Heyworth, Ill.) earned her second honor, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Tomlin had a big week setting up St. Ambrose's offense in leading the Fighting Bees to three victories. Her 10.2 assists-per-set average earned her CCAC Setter of the Week accord.
The junior registered two double-doubles on the week, totaling 54 assists and 16 digs in a five-set win over Cardinal Stritch University on Tuesday and a 45-assist, 16-dig performance in a four set victory over Indiana University Northwest on Thursday.
St. Ambrose's 3-0 week boosted its record up to 17-8 on the season.
