UAlbany linebacker Levi Metheny enters NCAA transfer portal
He will use the extra year of eligibility the NCAA granted athletes because of the coronavirus pandemic.
"This has been a dream come true and I am proud to be a member of the purple family," Metheny said on Twitter. "This has not been an easy decision for me, but given an extra year of eligibility, I have decided to enter the transfer portal to explore other options academically and athletically."
Metheny, from Bethel Park, Pa., played in three games and made 18 tackles, 14 solo, this spring before suffering an arm injury against Rhode Island.
