[Women's Cross Country & Track] Seven earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors inside SSU women's ...

The women's cross country and track and field programs put seven individuals on the NAIA Scholar-Athlete list, with Mckenna Pannell, Marissa Smith and Gina Van Lieu representing both programs and Nikki van Wees, Alexis Putnam, Hannah Marzolf and Sydnie Jenkins joining the former trio from the track aspect of the coin.

van Wees, who led the way among the group from a GPA standpoint, notched over 60 credits and posted an unblemished 4.0 GPA in environmental engineering. Putnam followed van Wees' efforts up by obtaining a bachelor's degree in individualized studies, and is currently pursuing her master's degree in occupational therapy at SSU.
