‘We’re losing 4-0 to Chelsea’ – Some Spurs fans react to the draw at Rennes
Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter this evening to react to the club’s performance in their Europa Conference League tie against Rennes.
Nuno Espirito Santo saw his side held to a 2-2 draw at the Roazhon Park Stadium.
The visitors took the lead early in the first half when Tanguy Ndombele pulled off an outrageous backheel on the halfway line and set Spurs free on the break, with Harry Kane playing in Lucas Moura, the Brazilian drove into the penalty and his right-footed cross deflected off Loic Bade and beyond Romain Salin
Rennes got a deserved equaliser twelve minutes later after Flavien Tait did well to work a bit of space on the edge of the Spurs area and curled a low effort into the bottom corner.
The hosts went ahead after Pierluigi Gollini palmed out an initial effort from Kamaldeen Sulemana, only for it to go straight into the path of Laborde and he prodded home after reacting quicker than Ben Davies.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was on hand to pull Spurs level when he reacted to a deflection and stabbed the ball into the back of the net.
Tbf Rennes are a good club

Call me mental, but considering the subs (not gonna argue with them, they were needed for the game Sunday) and the injuries, a draw ain't the worst result.
It's really early days for Nuno, so won't judge. Players showed fight to nick the draw there. Long, long season ahead…

Rennes are third favourites to win this competition so considering we just got a point there away can be considered decent. The football is still dire though.

Based on how poor we were after the first 10 mins I think a point is pretty good on reflection. More worried about Chelsea now…
