Basware Gives Oracle ERP Users Easy Access to eInvoicing  

Finnish eInvoicing provider Basware says it has created a “recipe” that lets users of the Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP connect easily to the Basware platform. 

The company announced the product Wednesday (Oct. 27), saying its eInvoice Recipe offers a standard out-of-the-box interface that lets Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning users receive all of their invoices entirely electronically, no matter the format in which they’re submitted. 

Basware says the Recipe is available through the Oracle Cloud Marketplace, making it easy for Oracle Cloud ERP users to enjoy the advantages of eInvoicing, including savings, a reduction in manual labor and a steep decline in errors.  

“The true power of an eInvoicing Network lies in its reach,” Perttu Nihti, chief product officer at Basware, said.

“With this collaboration, it will be easy for a very large group of customers to join one of the world's biggest open eInvoicing networks. Our ‘open’ approach means that suppliers are not obligated to send through our network; they can use any of the hundreds of global interoperability partners to reach their customers. This collaboration is an important step to global paperless invoicing,” he said.

Basware says its eInvoice receiving solutions include direct eInvoice exchange and interoperability (invoices submitted through alternative platforms). In addition, users get access to Scan and OCR paper invoices, machine-readable PDF invoices and PDF data extraction.

Earlier this month, Basware announced it was expanding its partnership with the payments firm Comdata to create what they call “a powerful procure-to-pay ecosystem.” The companies say the combination of technical and product integration, and sales and customer success teams will help customers further automate accounts payable (AP) processes. 

In May, Basware announced it had made it easier for clients to identify minority-owned businesses through its supplier management solution, letting them access diversity data provided by Dun & Bradstreet’s Diversity Database.

Customers can use the tool to determine which suppliers have minority-owned and small business supplier status in their network. This can assist businesses building supplier diversity programs, while also giving procurement teams data they’d otherwise have to enter manually.
