It's nice that we can all pick our own preferred 17, and have our opinions on how the team should be balanced...but we have no idea at all of what state, particularly physically, each of the players is in.
We certainly don't have a healthy squad and appear to have quite a few "walking wounded".
Is our best 17 really the worst in SL, if and when fit??
IMO Our squad seems to suffer more from mental issues ( right mindset/attitude ) rather than physical challenges if I was a guessing man. Take Roby for example the other day ,gets a finger dislocated, physio comes on puts it back in and off he goes , that’s what you call commitment and a tough mentality . We have the medical facilities to care for the walking wounded who will be assessed whether fit for action , but do we have a phycologist in the camp who can get them up mentally for the rigours of a game . We seem to wilt in the face of tough opposition . I’m no expert in anything least of all, sports psychology (I’ve all on spelling it ) but I do think we are missing a trick in so much as modern athletes need both physical and a good mental attitude to succeed in the modern era in any sport .
