‘My bro’ – Tottenham player sends message to Richarlison following transfer
Tottenham defender Emerson Royal has tweeted a supportive message to his new teammate Richarlison.
Spurs announced the signing of Richarlison on a deal which will run until 2027 after the 25-year-old showcased his qualities for Frank Lampard’s Everton side last season.
Antonio Conte is said to have been desperate to complete the signing of the Brazilian forward due to his physical prowess and versatility (The Athletic).
It is that versatility that will allow Richarlison to deputise for any of Conte’s front three, who were all prolific towards the end of last season.
Spurs wing-back Royal also showed what he could offer at the business end of the campaign, putting in a number of strong performances, including a heroic match versus Liverpool with a 100% tackle success, five clearances, and five ball recoveries (Statman Dave).
The 23-year-old was clearly delighted by the prospect of linking up with his compatriot in N17 ahead of next season.

It was testament to both Emerson’s commitment and Conte’s genius to see the transformation in the player’s performances come the end of the Premier League season.
With Sky Sports reporting that Spurs have no intention of letting Royal leave the club this summer, we could well see a Brazilian link up down the right flank in the coming months.
