IF YOU want to make your home look bigger but don’t have a massive budget or much time on your hands, fear not.
There are a few quick and easy changes you can make that will make even the smallest space look bigger.
Caroline Solomon is a cleaning and organising pro and she took to TikTok to share the handy tricks and tips.
First of all, the pro explained that adding mirrors to spaces can make a massive difference.
The reflective surface will help bounce light around the room and make it appear loads bigger than it really is – bonus points if you can hand one opposite a window!
Hanging large prints, photos or artwork instead of smaller ones can also help in the quest to make a space seem larger, according to the pro.

Next, Caroline explained that the key to a bigger looking hallway is keeping it free from all the junk that can build up there.
If you you often leave coats and shoes laying around there, make sure to put them back in their proper place.
If you’ve got an especially small hallway avoid adding unnecessary furniture, since this will only make it seem more crowded.
Another handy tip is to go for lighter shades of paint, since they’ll open up the space and create the illusion of a bigger room.

The next tip the cleaning whizz revealed involved keeping furniture and interior design choices as simple as possible.
Having various nick-knacks around the home only adds to the cluttered vibe and also means you’ve got more things to clean, stick to a sleek and minimalist style instead.
Finally, the pro suggested having furniture in your home that’s low to the ground, “this opens up the room,” Caroline said.
