Recession fears dampen demand for stocks on Asian markets
SYDNEY, NSW, Australia - Stock markets in Asia fell on Monday, with investors fearing a recession is likely in most parts of the world. Bond yields fell, while the U.S. dollar rallied.
"Risk markets are obviously priced for some kind of slowdown, but are they priced for an outright recession? I would argue no," Ray Attrill, head of currency strategy at National Australia Bank told Reuters news agency Monday.
