It’s August – It’s National Family Fun Month

It seems like everything has its designated month or day for celebration or recognition. The month of July seems a bit food focused. It’s Take a Monkey to Lunch Day and National Junk Food Day both on July 21. Can you combine the two and take a monkey out for some junk food? Could be fun. July is also National Hot Dog Month. Hot dogs get a whole month but junk food just one day? Seems a bit unfair.
We celebrate National Porcupine Day on July 2. Well, our family missed that one. As cute as they are; I did happen to see one not too long ago in the UP, one day seems plenty to recognize porcupines.
We recognize National Lazy Day on August 10. Apparently, you are supposed to do absolutely nothing on August 10. Again, one day is plenty. Imagine a whole month of laziness.
National Chicken Month is celebrated the whole month of September. We really like this one.
Guys, so you can plan ahead, October 25th is National Mother-In-Law Day. She knows what day it is, please don’t forget.
