Huge fireball swallows fireball truck on side of motorway
Footage shows a Fireball Whiskey truck being consumed by a fireball on the side of the M1.
Shocked drivers could see black smoke billowing into the air from a distance after the inferno erupted on Friday.
No one was hurt after two fire engines raced to the scene near junction 13.
A video, filmed by Harry Ralston, shows the black vehicle had the words ‘fireball whiskey’ on the side.
Red flames could also be seen painted on the side of the truck, as it was literally on fire.
One onlooker could be heard shouting about how close cars were getting to the flames.
‘F***ing hell. Fireball, literally says fireball on the back’, a man in Harry’s car is heard saying in the footage.
‘Ooo, you can feel the heat off that’, someone adds as their car travels past.
Firefighters from Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue quickly extinguished the blaze, stopping it from spreading.
A spokesperson for the service said in a statement: ‘There was a lot of smoke in the area, but no-one has been injured as a result of the incident.’
It is unknown if the truck is linked to The Sazerac Company, which produces Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey.
