AFC tells members that focus on good governance and transparency will not relent
September 7 – The Asian Football Federation (AFC) has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all its members follow the principles of good governance.
Hachem Haidar, chairperson of the AFC Associations Committee, said the formation of the new Governance Coordination Unit will ensure stronger scrutiny of member associations and regional associations and encourage greater adherence to the statutes.
The AFC has had its members undergo a Statutes Revision process, with 41 MAs and five RAs currently either undergoing or having completed the exercise.
