House prices 'start to ease' despite being slow to 'buckle' as the cost of living soars

HOUSE prices have risen by 0.4 percent in the past month, bringing the cost of the average UK property to a new record high of almost £295,000. But while the level of buyers has remained robust even as the cost of living soars, property experts have warned of "challenging" times ahead for homeowners across the country.
