World Cup
England are out of the World Cup.
They were beaten 2-1 tonight by holders France at the quarter-final stage.
Aurélien Tchouaméni and Olivier Giroud scored the French goals.
Harry Kane scored a penalty meanwhile and missed another late on.
Elsewhere, history was made earlier on.
Morocco became the first ever African side to make it through to the semi-finals thanks to a 1-0 win over Portugal today.

Connacht beat Newcastle 22-8 in their opening Challenge Cup game at the Sportsground.
Paul Boyle, Adam Byrne and Diarmuid Killgallen all scored tries for the home side.

Kilkerrin-Clonberne of Galway beat Monaghan’s Donaghmoyne 13-7 at Croke Park this evening to retain their All-Ireland Club Ladies Football Championship title.
The lineup for the camogie final is now complete.
Loughgiel Shamrocks of Antrim beat Tipperary’s Drom and Inch 3-6 to 2-6 in Kinnegad this afternoon to book their place in the final.
They will meet Sarsfields of Galway in the decider after they beat Dublin’s St Vincent’s 1-11 to 1-10 today.
Kerins O’Rahillys of Kerry beat Newcastle West 2-6 to 1-8 in the Munster men’s club football final in Mallow today.
It marks the Kerry Club’s first ever provincial title.

Gary Hurley and Tom McKibbin are both 4-under-par after day three of the Alfed Dunhill Championship in South Africa.
Both players carded one-under rounds of 71 today.
