Gusty, cloudy and tiny
Hello Friends,
Grey, windy and small this morning at Dee Why. Wind was 17-24 kts from the NNE at 0700 and the 1.4m swell was coming from the SE at 10 seconds apart. Waves were in the knee to maybe waist plus range along the beach, but it was just too small for the point.
Outlook is kind of interesting for maybe later this afternoon because the wind could swing west for the late, plus the swell could pick up a bit at places that like NE. Tomorrow looks like being sunny, offshore and small early, but maybe with a building south component to the swell. The rest of the work week is kinda ho-hum looking, but this weekend is shaping to be southerly with 2-3 metres of 11 second south on the cards…
Go well everyone and catch you tomorrow.
Weather Situation
A high pressure system currently lies over the Tasman Sea, while a trough of low pressure approaches from the west. This pattern is bringing increasing northerly winds to coastal waters today. The tough, and an associated cold front, will bring a vigorous west to southwesterly change to southern and central parts the day and the remainder early Tuesday. Winds in most areas will briefly turn northeasterly again late Tuesday, before a low near Tasmania brings another southerly change on Wednesday.
