Chilly weekend ahead in Southern California
Dry, cloudy weather will make for a chilly weekend in Southern California after a storm system coated parts of the region with rain and snowfall earlier in the week.
In Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside counties, temperatures were expected to remain in the high 50s to low 60s with some heavy cloud coverage on Saturday, Dec. 17, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Stefanie Sullivan.
Orange County will also see some clouds on Saturday with temperatures in the low 60s along the coastline, and a few degrees warmer heading inland.
The clouds are expected to burn off by Sunday morning but could return on Tuesday.

Weak Santa Ana winds will also pass through the coastal mountains over the weekend, with gusts of up to 25-35 mph.
Heading into next week, temperatures will likely remain consistent with weekend conditions until the middle of the week when a high-pressure system is expected to build over the region, bringing a warming trend in time for the holiday weekend.
Temperatures could begin to climb into the mid 60s in Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire as early as Wednesday, and in the low 70s for Orange County, Sullivan said.
