The city of Bhubaneswar is gearing up for the Men's Hockey World Cup. The municipal corporation has announced that they will be installing lights all around the city, including highrise apartments and private and corporate offices. Markets will be set up along boundaries of parks, bus stands will be erected, and the airport will be lit up. Additionally, individual buildings will be able to put up lights as part of their own celebration. The mayor of the corporation has also organized a rally of autorickshaws to mark the start of the city activation programme.
