The state of Karnataka is going to be the top producer of semiconductors and chips in the coming years. The development minister, Dr. Ashwath Narayan, said this on Tuesday at the opening of a multiskill development center built at the cost of Rs. 20 crore. He also announced that a helpline, called 155267, has been created to help people develop their skills in entrepreneurship and livelihood. Former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar and others were present at the event.
