A ONE-OFF Corvette is going to auction and is expected to fetch and incredible amount of money.
The 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray ZL-1 Convertible is up for auction with RM Sotheby’s in Arizona.
Two Stingray ZL-1s were made in 1969, but this is the only one with a convertible top.
Its rarity means experts reckon it could fetch as much as $3million once the hammer falls.

Chevrolet took a standard Corvette Stingray and fitted a street-legal version of a 7.0-litre all-aluminum V8 race engine.
That took the power to 560hp – a massive figure by today’s standards let alone 1969.
The brakes and suspension were upgraded and the car was stripped of its radio, heater, air-con, power windows and power steering to save weight.
The first owner blew up the car’s original engine, meaning it has a different one fitted.
However, it’s the same as the original engine in all but code, ensuring its value.
The Corvette is on its second owner, who is now offering it for sale.
This is the first time a ZL-1 has been offered for sale in 30 years and the first time ever a convertible ever has been.
