HEARTBREAKING tributes have been left for Cody Fisher by nursery children after the beloved sports coach was “murdered” at a nightclub.

Earlier today, cops confirmed they had arrested two men on suspicion of his murder.

Cody, was a role model for children at Woodrow First School and Nursery in Redditch.

The school said many kids knew the sports coach and “loved and admired” him.

They added that Cody’s death had left the school community “devastated”.

One tribute outside the nightclub says: “Mr Fisher we are gonna miss you so much. You were the best PE teacher and inspired me so much.”

Woodrow First School and Nursery tweeted: “Everyone is devastated to hear of the tragic and needless death of this friendly and talented young man.

“Many of the children know Cody as their sports coach and love and admire him.

“Our thoughts are with his family and friends. May he rest in peace.”

Loved ones paying tribute have been describing him as the “purest soul”, “wonderful” and a “best friend”.

Grieving girlfriend Jess wrote online: “My poor baby. I’m so sorry this has happened to you.

“My whole world, the love of my life, my best friend has been taken away from me.

“I don’t know how I’m going to do life without you Code. There is so much we will never get the chance to do now.

“This doesn’t feel real. I love you forever Cody Fisher.”

Cody’s family said last night: “They have broken our hearts; I have lost my best friend.

“My family and I are asking for privacy and respectfulness at this heart-breaking time.”

Cops rushed to The Crane nightclub on Adderley Street in Digbeth, just before 11.45pm on Boxing Day after reports that a man had been knifed.

Detectives said the victim was “approached by a group of people” before being stabbed.

It is understood the DJ stopped playing and a warning message flashed up on the club’s big screens.

Medical staff fought to save Cody but he was pronounced dead around 30 minutes later.

But the double arrest today has sparked hope that justice will be served.

A 22-year-old was held at an address in Birmingham city centre just after midnight while a second man, 21, was arrested in London.

Officers added that they were “really pleased” with the public’s response to their investigation into the death of Cody.

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Ingram, from West Midlands Police, said: “We’re making good progress in our investigation and are building a better picture of what happened.

“We’ve been really pleased with the response from the public and have already had a number of witness accounts and images sent through, which will help with our investigation.

“It’s vital that we hear from everybody who saw any part of what happened that night – no matter how insignificant they think it might be.

“Cody’s family and friends are devastated by what happened, and we’ll continue to work to bring them answers.”

Cody played as a defender for several clubs and was most recently in Stratford Town FC.

Jed McCrory, the chairman of Stratford Town gave a tribute to Sky News, saying everyone was “devastated” by the death of a “lovely, lovely young man” and “talented footballer”.

Stratford Town Football posted in memory of their player on Twitter, saying: “Everyone at Stratford Town Football is saddened to hear of the tragic loss of one of our own players, Cody Fisher.

“Our sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of Cody. Our thoughts are with you at this very difficult time.”
