A doctor at a government hospital in Assam's Barpeta district was assaulted by a gang of miscreants on Thursday morning. The victim, Dr. Bablu Das, is a senior medical officer with the state health department and is currently posted at the barpeta civil hospital. According to the doctor, three of the accused--Wahab Ali Jahangir Alam, Monirul Islam, and another unidentified person--have been arrested following an investigation at the kalgachia police station. The other two accused are still on the run. Das said that two other accused are still at large.
