The Ludhiana zonal commissioners conduct weekly grievance redressal meetings in their respective offices on Thursday. Most issues are resolved on the spot, while the staff is directed to resolve the remaining issues raised by the public by going through the record in a timebound manner. Most issues raised by the residents are related to change of ownership of properties, property tax, street lights, watersewer supply bills, and officials claim to solve the problems on the spot. Some issues are kept on hold as they need to check the records or conduct field inspections. Zonal commissioners are available for the public on every working day, but separate meetings are being organised to resolve public grievances as per the directions received from the state government.
