Roundup: Japan's Nikkei ends higher as weak yen lifts exporters
TOKYO, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Japan's benchmark Nikkei stock index closed higher Friday, as a weak yen gave exporter issues a boost, while shares that had lost ground were bought back on dips.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 153.05 points, or 0.59 percent, from Thursday to close the day at 25,973.85.
The broader Topix index, meanwhile, added 6.86 points, or 0.37 percent, to finish at 1,875.76.
