Ipswich Town Not Gone Beyond Enquiry For Premier League Club’s Forward
Corbeanu spent the first half of this season at Championship side Blackpool, but an ankle injury meant his loan spell was cut short earlier this month and he is back at Wolves.
The forward played in 17 Championship games for Blackpool, scoring three goals, but the injury meant his time with the Seasiders came to an end.
It was claimed that Ipswich were now in talks to take the 20-year-old on loan for the rest of the season to Portman Road.
However, Ipswich’s interest in the forward has been limited to an enquiry with Wolves and nothing more.
Corbeanu spent the majority of last season playing in League One, but it remains in the air if he will return this term and if it is Ipswich who get him in.
It remains to be seen if Ipswich follow up the enquiry and pursue his signature this window to bulk up their attacking department.
Ipswich are in the fight to get automatically promoted, being third in the League One table and within catching distance of both first and second place.
They will be looking at January business that helps them achieve their target.
