Kelly Clarkson Learns Jiu Jitsu Choke From Mario Lopez
Kelly Clarkson had no fear in asking Mario Lopez to put the moves on her.
The 49-year-old Saved by the Bell star appeared as a guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show and was asked by Kelly if he could teach her some jiu jitsu, also known as Brazilian jiu jitsu.

Mario decided to teach Kelly a “rear naked choke,” one of the most well-known techniques of the martial art.
When Kelly was surprised at the name of the technique, Mario said, “It’s kind of got a naughty name to it.”
“You’re very close to me while saying the word ‘naked’,” Kelly said. As Mario went behind Kelly to apply the choke, Kelly said, “I think I’ve had this dream,” as she laughed.
Kelly then tried the choke on Mario and got him to tap out, signaling its effectiveness.
“Next time a guy is out of line with you, you can put him to sleep,” Mario said.
Last year, Mario was promoted to purple belt. He has trained together with his friend and Saved by the Bell alum, Mark-Paul Gosselaar.
Other celebrities that have practiced jiu jitsu include: Demi Lovato, Tom Hardy, Jason Momoa, Russell Brand, Jonah Hill, Joe Rogan, Jason Statham, Ed O’Neill, Usher, Keanu Reeves, Vin Diesel and Ashton Kutcher.
The martial art and sport has been rapidly growing and gaining mainstream attention.
Over the summer, Tom Hardy entered a jiu jitsu tournament and won double gold medals.
