Moves to stop children going missing from care

Since March 1 last year, there have been 289 incidents involving 42 children and young people going missing from care in the city, with 22 of those having three or more episodes. Out of the 289 missing incidents, 19 youngsters initially declined a total of 87 requests to be interviewed – with 11 of these having gone missing three or more times.
