I’m in love with my best friend but he doesn’t feel the same
DEAR DEIDRE: I’M in love with my best friend but he doesn’t feel the same.
He knows how I feel, and we did have a kiss once, yet he chose another girl. Being friend-zoned really hurts.
We’re both 16 and have been best mates for two years.
Since he got a girlfriend, I barely see him, and I miss him.
But he still messages me for advice.
How do I get over this? I don’t want to end the friendship.

DEIDRE SAYS: It’s painful when the person you love rejects you.
If he knows how you feel, it’s cruel of him to talk to you about his relationship.
Ask him to stop doing this and make yourself less available. Try to spend time with other friends so you get some space.
You will meet someone lovely soon, who wants to be with you too.
