I’ve got two kids-under-two & even my mum is amazed at how I keep my stained whites so bright – here’s how I do it
IF you’ve ever tried restoring your white clothes, you’ll know it can be quite a challenge.
Usually whilst we are able to clean our white overtime the garments lose their colour and start to turn grey.
Danielle is a mum of two children under two and she’d admitted the white clothes in her house get dirty and stained very quickly.
In a recent video she shared her method for restoring old whites so they come out of the wash shiny and new again.
She said: “So I don’t know about you but I cannot stand stained whites or off white clothes when they are meant to be white.”
Danielle said: “Obviously living with two under two’s everything gets stained I can’t even help it also Darrel wears white socks around the house and turns them black.”
She continued: “So I wait until I have a big enough white wash, I’ve done this a couple of times and they have come out really good. My mum who’s been washing all my life was like how have you got them so white?”
First Danielle fills up a sink full of dirty whites.
She said: “So I stick it all in the sink once I’ve got a big enough load normally around this amount.”
Next she adds Asda Oxi stain remover and sterilising tablets.
Danielle said: I’ve popped in a couple of sterilising tablets I used the Milton ones but supermarket brand ones work just as well.
She said: “Then I’m gonna stick some of this [bleach]. I’m gonna pop some of that in their with some water and let it soak for 25 minutes.”

Danielle said: “I’ve just added a kettle full of water to breakdown the sterilizing tablets into powder, you can see it is already starting to foam. I’m just filling up the rest with water.”
She continued: “I’ve put the bleach in here now so I’m not gonna touch it with my hands [she uses a cooking spoon]. I’m literally just going to mix it all around. Then I’m gonna leave it for about 20-25 minutes.”
After 25 minute up Danielle showed viewers how dirty the water had gotten.
She said: “It’s been over 25 minutes to look at the colour of this water.”
She said: “They’re going to go in the washing machine now. I’m going to squeeze them out and stick them in.”
She continued: “I set it [her wash]t o 90 degrees purely because it’s just piece of mind and I know it’s boiled the clothes so there’s no bleach on the clothes.”
Danielle showed viewers the results a very bright Hugo Boss sock which looked brand new.
She said: “Fresh out the wash, look at this perfectly white.”
Danielle’s video gained over 930,000 views.
