Roundup: Japan's Nikkei ends higher on yen's retreat, U.S. futures' rise
TOKYO, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- Japan's benchmark Nikkei stock index bounced back Friday, as investor sentiment was lifted by the yen's retreat and U.S. futures turning higher, despite Wall Street's overnight slide.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 148.30 points, or 0.56 percent, from Thursday to close the day at 26,553.53.
