Love Island fans slam Pretty Little Thing’s £25 dupe of Maya Jama’s £1.5K cut out dress saying it’s like a ‘bedsheet’
WITH her incredible curves and sultry outfits, it’s little surprise Maya Jama has sent temperatures soaring as the new host of Love Island.
In her own bombshell moment, the 28-year-old presenter, who grew up in Bristol, set pulses racing as she strut her stuff in the villa (yes, in slow-mo!) wearing a black cut-out maxi dress by Monot.
Taking to Instagram after the show aired, the brunette beauty snared a stunning snap of herself posing in the halterneck maxi dress and thanked viewers for their “overwhelming support.”
But fashion fans hoping to recreate the look were quickly disappointed after finding out it’d set them back a whopping £1,500.
However, just 24 hours later after, eagle-eyed shoppers spotted PrettyLittleThing selling an almost identical dupe for just £28.
Promoting the replica dress on Twitter, the fast fashion chain penned: “GET THE LOOK. Our Black Sheet Knitted Cut Out Maxi Dress has 79% discount!”
The online product description reads: “This dress is perfect for your next vacay adventure doll.

“Featuring a black sheer knit material with cut-out detailing and a maxi length, what’s not to love?

While there are many similarities between the two dresses, the PLT version appears to have slightly different cutout patterns.
But it wasn’t long before social media users compared them both, with many comparing the cheaper version to a bedsheet.
“Yeah it’s a sheet alright…delete this,” wrote one.
A second agreed: “Cheap sheet indeed.”
A third penned: “It’s a sheet for sure.”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “No one is pulling this off like queen Maya so behave.”
And another joked: “When you copy the A-star student and get an F.”
