Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Narayanaswamy, gave away appointment letters to 91 people who were recruited for various central government postings at the Rozgar Mela here on Fridays. He said that 25 lakh youths were inducted into various departments of the central government as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's promise to provide 10 lakh jobs in one year. Modi addressed the recruits through video conferencing. The Minister said that the government was striving to create more jobs in the private and public sectors. He said that the government's constant endeavour to create employment by bringing in more investments had started bearing fruit. "Exports from India to various countries across the globe have increased ever since the Make in India programme was launched to encourage indigenous manufacturing of goods," he said. The Minister said that the government was also encouraging selfemployment for youths and was creating more opportunities in that front. Later, Narayanaswamy inspected the work of sanitary workers in the city and distributed safety kits to them. He was given a demonstration of a robot cleaning a drainage system. "I appreciate the City Corporation Commissioner and his team for using advanced technology," he tweeted.
