The enforcement team of the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) demolished an unauthorised road network in Gwalpahari being built to connect with the unauthorised farmhouses which are under construction in the area. The road network was around 800 metres long. A team led by assistant engineer Hitesh Dahiya led the demolition drive in zone 3 of the MCG on Friday. "These roads were leading to farmhouses which are illegally being constructed in the area. The action on farmhouses is taken by the town and country planning department, however, we made sure to demolish these roads which were being carved out on their private land," he said. Additionally, the teams demolished unauthorised structures from the restricted area around the IAF ammunition depot, and removed encroachment from 15 acres of government land on which boundary walls and five temporary structures had come up. The teams also removed encroachment by unauthorised street vendors at the mini secretariat and court complex.
