A 35-year-old scrap dealer was allegedly robbed of Rs 8000 at knifepoint on Thursday in Bilaspur. According to the police, the complainant, identified as Azad, a resident of Nakhrola, runs a scrap shop near Bilaspur Chowk. An unidentified man took Azad on his motorcycle to an isolated location in the name of selling scraps from two houses, held a knife at Azad and looted Rs 8000 before fleeing from the spot. Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Bilaspur Police Station. "We are checking CCTV footage to identify the accused," an officer said.
