The Rajkot students who were mass promoted two years ago due to the Covid19 pandemic will now take the class 12 exam. The state government had promoted 12 lakh students of class 10 to class 11 starting academic year 2021. Experts said that a large number of these students are likely to suffer from exam anxiety and phobia as they are taking the board exam for the first time. The likelihood of suicides also increases during this period. The department will form various teams comprising professors and students who will counsel youngsters in different schools. According to the su, faculties came up with this idea of personal counselling after the phone calls received on the department’s helpline number many students seek psychological help complaining about various problems like stress depression anxiety etcyogesh jogsan head of the department said “students frequently call us for solutions to problems such as forgetting what they read while taking the exam disinterest in reading books under the exam fear of failure and inability to complete the paper in time”.
