The Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday said that police lines training centres and camps which face acute shortage of basic facilities will be renovated in the coming two years inaugurating a 500-capacity auditorium and other infrastructure at the Jharkhand Armed Policei Ground in Ranchi. Mr. Soren said that the state government aims to make all police lines and camps including those in the farflung areas well-equipped. He added that gymnasium should be opened in each police camp to ensure improved health of police personnel. The government has initiated steps for a separate health system for the police. Mr. Soren also said that it is also mulling over a scheme for providing good education to children of police personnel. Mr. Soren addressed the function Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation Limited’s JPHCL managing director, Ajay Kumar Singh. Mr. Singh said that the new auditorium has state-of-the-art facilities with its own generator and transformer and could be useful for holding functions of various departments.
