The jharkhand high court on Friday rejected the appeal of former minister Enos Ekka and his wife Menon Ekka against their conviction by a special CBI court for seven years in jail in a disproportionate and money laundering case. Both Enos and his wife were convicted by the special court here under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act for laundering Rs. 2031 crores and having assets more than their known sources of income. They were also fined Rs. 2 crores besides their jail sentence. The husband-wife duo who are currently in jail will continue to remain so.
