The Faculty of Technology and Engineering at Vadodara University is finally undergoing the process to get its programmes accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). A team from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) started its three-day inspection of the facilities of the Faculty on Friday. The Faculty simply did not make any efforts to get its courses accredited by the NBA all these years. However, private colleges and universities as well as grant-in-aid engineering colleges have got their programmes accredited by the NBA which was initially established by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Faculty in 2021 had begun the process to seek accreditation from the NBA for its Bachelor's programme once the Bachelor's programmes are covered under the process. The Faculty will begin the exercise to get other programmes accredited once they receive accreditation from the NBA. The National Accreditation Council (NAAC) accredits programmes and not departments that offer the programmes.
