Siena basketball freshman Michael Eley getting more comfortable
With leading scorer Javian McCollum sitting early with two fouls, Eley stepped up and scored nine points to help Siena to a 16-13 lead.
He finished with a career-high 20 points as the Saints remained alone in first place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Siena (13-6 overall, 7-1 league) returns to action at 2 p.m.. Sunday against Fairfield (8-10, 4-4).
"Honestly, I think what helped us was running our motion and making the extra pass because we want to turn a good shot into a great shot," Eley said. "So just finding the open guys and making that extra pass."
