Really?
Who'd have guessed!
He was absolutely right to refuse to allow Thorp Arch be named after him. Imagine being sacked by someone and then they call you up to say "but can we use your name and reputation to make us feel all good about ourselves". The cheek of it, what a stupid proposal.
I agree - it was a stupid, fawning proposal by the club. I mean Wilko set Thorp Arch up, which any subsequent success the club has achieved is mainly down to, including the O'Leary era. So it's ludicrous that if you are naming it after anybody it's not Wilko or Revie.
