I’m plus-size and I bought the cutest Target clothes in XXL – I’d never normally choose the jumpsuit but it looks great
PLUS-SIZED girls know that it’s not easy to find clothes that fits them well and is actually stylish.
A woman named Ashley Robbennolt, who wears size 16-18, headed to Target in search of cute outfits – and she ended up buying way more than she thought.
In a TikTok video (@ashleyrobbennolt), the 5’10” blonde shared her haul and reviewed how the pieces fit, which were all size XXL.
The first garment she tried on was a long denim button down ($36).
She wore it loose, with the buttons undone so that you could see her tight crop top and leggings underneath.
“I’m obsessed,” she said.
“It’s not a denim jacket but it’s also not a shirt. It’s oversized.”
Switching into something a little dressier, she looked chic in a satin zebra-print blouse ($25).
“It’s super cute for a girls’ night.”
Although she was wearing black leggings in the video, she said she planned to style it with jeans and leave part of the shirt tucked in.
The next outfit she tried on was out of her comfort zone: a short denim jumpsuit.
“I’m not going to lie, this jumpsuit is not something I would typically wear, but for whatever reason I tried it on and I loved it.”
The jumpsuit has a skirt covering the shorts so that it gave the allusion of a mini dress, and it wrapped around her body in a way that cinched her waist.
It was a dark shade of denim, making it perfect for day or night.
Her final look was one that she also said she didn’t expect to like.
It was a bright blue mini dress, with a colorful pattern splattered across it.
“This dress is also very different for me, and it’s also very spring, so it’s a little too early to wear it because it’s January.
“But, I saw the pattern and I was like, ‘This pattern is so fun.’”
The best part? It has pockets.
Viewers were just as into the outfits as she was, and were thankful to have a plus-sized woman try them on.
“OMG THAT BLUE DRESS IS EVERYTHING!!! I have it and literally cannot wait for summer to wear it,” one person wrote.
“Pockets on dresses are key,” another person noted.
“I’ve been looking for you! Finally a tall woman,” added a third.
