The ULFA is a banned organization in Assam, so the district is afraid that the ULFA will try to strike during the celebrations. The district superintendent of police has said that they will be increasing security measures in the districts of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar, and Charaideo, which are all areas that the ULFA has traditionally been strong in.
