A district minister visited a few villages in mysuru district that have been plagued by wild animal attacks in the past few weeks. He warned the forest officials that if they don't take action, he will take stern action. He also said that the issue of late harvesting of sugarcane will be resolved soon. The minister also visited the homes of two boys who were killed by leopards within 48 hours last week. He handed out relief cheques to the families of the victims. The villagers who had gathered in a large number aired their grievances with the minister- lack of ksrtc bus service which is causing them a lot of problem, and the delay in sugarcane harvesting. The minister assured the villagers that their grievances will be addressed by the district administration and the forest department. Meanwhile, the foresters have continued the operation to nab or kill the maneater leopard.
