The first of its kind satyagraha is taking place in mysuru demanding pro-people governance. Many intellectuals have extended support for the event according to the organisers. Novelist SL Bhyrappa Sarod Player Rajiv Taranath have also extended support for the cause. The satyagraha comes amidst the Save Chamundi Hills Committee deciding to call on the DC KVRajendra on January 25 and seek details of the projects planned atop Chamundi Hills. It can be recalled that several NGOs are observing satyagraha on Sunday seeking good governance in the city. This satyagraha will start at 9am and conclude at 6pm according to activist Bhamy V Shenoy who is one of the organisers of the satyagraha. The response for the initiative is good students, traders, residents groups, professionals from all walks of life are going an extra mile in support of the satyagraha. He said novelist SL Bhyrappa Sarod Player Rajiv Taranath have voluntarily extended support for our concern. We want to raise through this agitation. "This satyagraha is not against anybody instead it is an introspection among ourselves. We want to put pressure on the stakeholders," he said.
